Principal's Message
My name is John Lynch, and I am very proud to be the Principal at Smith Elementary. This is my 7th year as Principal and my 10th year at Jennie E. Smith. I am looking forward to another great school year at Smith and to working with our amazing staff and community. I started teaching in 2001 and have taught in a variety of regular and special education classroom settings with students from first grade to age twenty-one years old. I was here at Smith, an Assistant Principal at Oberle Elementary and, prior to that, Assistant Principal at the Brennen School.
Educating our students takes the whole community working together. Smith staff are committed to the success of all of our students and also recognize the critical role of our parents. I invite you to be involved in your child’s education and stay in contact with your child’s teacher throughout the year. Every parent, grandparent and family member has an important role in making our school a success.
I am so proud of the work we do here at Smith Elementary and I look forward to continuing to serve the teachers, staff, students, parents and community of Smith Elementary. I am confident that we will have a successful year!
